I had some time this afternoon so I took my camera out with me and walked the whole Greenway and back. Saturday is supposed to be cloudy and in any event I won’t have time to walk the entire route…so come for a walk!
Wolftever Greenway walk
Imagination Station sign
Birdhouses were everywhere!
Wolftever Creek- the whole Greenway runs beside the creek.
Even going under the road, the creek stayed with us.
Sometimes it got almost TOO close!
Flowering almond tree.
I don’t know what these little beauties are called.
Ready to rest yet?
Veteran’s Memorial Park
I love the designs in the stone!
For retired military birds…
Love this little backwash…
I don’t think they can be the residents of any of the birdhouses…
Another pretty rest stop…
The truck kind of spoils it…
Where does this path go?
Yes, but from where?
Ok, so what’s a mailbox doing out here?
It’s bolted shut, I checked.
I’m loving all the new spring leaves.
Still a ways to go…
Another flower I don’t know the name of- I’m not much of a botanist.
The railroad is running along the path now- closer now.
We’re going to go under the railroad.
Empty Nest- I think the sign is sideways…
You don’t have to stay on the path… but it can get pretty wet!
Waterfalls need no excuse.
Rail Birds… although I don’t see where the bird house is on this one.
Winding path- we’re not there yet.
Find the lucky clover…
Tulips in someone’s back yard
Nice of them to share, don’t you think?
Yellow wild flower.
Looks like we’re going over the creek, now.
On the bridge.
Oh, we have to stop for the train.
The granite map at the other end.
Old Mill Birds
I missed this on the way out…
Watch your fingers!
These white star-like flowers were everywhere!
Both fountains working now.
Pinecones as babies!
This is a good place for dogs!
Somebody’s feeding the squirrels… I found piles of peanuts all along the trail.
Veteran’s Park from the other side.
Back at Imagination Station
These are dotted all over the play ground to assist parents in encouraging out door play.
Now we’re going this way.
Church spire barely visible.
This is my favorite bird house!
The greenway is a lot more civilized here
This made the think of Sandra!
I like the way the water has hollowed out under the roots.
We’re still following the creek- but the banks are a lot higher!
Dandelion. There are so many of them that I often forget to look and see how pretty they are.
A dropped toy. Someone put it up on the bench and it will stay there until the owner comes back by. In this little community, it won’t go home with anyone but the child who dropped it.
And back to Imagination Station again, whew!
Cherry tree- they don’t last but they’re so very pretty while they’re showing off!
