The Ups and Downs of Being Dead

The Ups and Downs of Being DeadThe Ups and Downs of Being Dead by M.R. Cornelius
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really really enjoyed this book! I started reading it at 10 this morning, planning to read a chapter or two and spend the rest of the day quilting.

I didn’t put it down for the next four hours and the only reason I did then was that the book ended.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be around to see your family’s reaction after you die? Robert gets to find out… but it’s not anything like he expected it would be. In fact, not much is as he expected it to be- there are ups and downs all of which he has to learn to manage. And then, what if you liked being dead so much that you weren’t looking forward to being alive again? Is there another choice?

I’m not going to put any spoilers in here… but you should read the book. It dodges entirely all speculation on religion of any kind- which for a book about being dead, is quite a trick.

This is Ms Cornelius’ second book- now I have to go find a copy of her first because she’s a wow of a writer.
