Technical Details:
This is a quilt top that the wasband’s Grandmother made for us for our first anniversary. She left it for me to quilt because she thought (rightly) that I would prefer to quilt it myself. Sadly, Granny died only a couple of years after she gave us the quilt and the wasband ran off very soon after that. He and his mother asked me for the top back as it is the very last large piece she ever completed but in my mind, she gave it to me as well as to him. No, by rights, neither one of us should have it now… but it can be Emily’s. So I am going to try and get it quilted before her 16th birthday… and hope she’s responsible enough for me to actually give it to her then!
